The 2019 UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education is open to Governments of UNESCO Member States and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in official partnership with UNESCO are now invited to nominate up to three individuals, institutions or organizations who have made strong contributions in favour of girls’ and women’s education.

Description

2019 UNESCO Prize is the first UNESCO Prize of this nature and is unique in showcasing successful projects that improve and promote the educational prospects of girls and women and in turn, the quality of their lives.

  1. Online Registration:
  2. Nominations must be submitted in English and French,
  3. UNESCO Member States and NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO to accessible for the contest.
  4. Nominated projects must meet the eligibility and selection criteria set by the Prize,
  5. They must be established and running for at least two years,
  6. show potential to be replicable and scalable,
  7. and contribute to one or more of the priority areas of the Prize.

Prizes

The 2019 UNESCO Prize annually awards US$ 50,000 to two outstanding laureates.
